You Can Now Watch Your AI Agents Work Inside VS Code
If you're running multiple Claude Code sessions at once (I regularly have like six going), you know the pain. Tabbing between terminals, forgetting which one's doing what, laptop trying to take off like an aeroplane.
There's a VS Code extension called Pixel Agents that fixes this. Each Claude session gets a little avatar and you can see at a glance what's running, whats idle, and what's on a subtask. Click an agent, it jumps to that session. Dead simple.

Setup takes two minutes:
Open VS Code → Extensions → search "Pixel Agents" → Install. Done.
You'll see a Pixel Agents tab in your terminal panel. Drag it wherever you want. Hit "+ Agent" to spin up new sessions. There's even a layout editor where you can customise the workspace if you're into that.
Couple of things — it's mainly been tested on Windows (works fine on my Mac so far), and sub-agents aren't officially supported yet, though I've seen it pick them up anyway.
If you use Claude Code daily like I do, just go install it. Seeing everything from one view instead of guessing across ten terminals is a proper upgrade.
